Controller Stands
3D fuse bead controller stands that hold your PS5 DualSense, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch Pro controller upright on your desk. A showpiece desk accessory that doubles as bead art — and a project with almost no competition online.

Extra Materials Needed
- 1Large square pegboards (joined for 3D assembly)
- 2Superglue or craft glue for joints
- 3Non-slip felt pads (optional, for the base)
- 4Heavy books (for pressing while cooling)
Assembly Steps
- 1Build the base plate flat: a ~16×8 rectangle that fits your controller's width
- 2Build the back support upright: a ~14×10 piece angled to lean the controller back ~15°
- 3Build two side fins to cradle the controller handles
- 4Iron each piece on both sides for rigidity — stands take weight, so strength matters
- 5Press each piece under a heavy book while cooling to prevent warping
- 6Assemble: glue the back support and side fins to the base at right angles
- 7Stick non-slip pads on the base corners and set your controller in the cradle
Tips & Tricks
- 💡Measure your controller's footprint on the pegboard first — DualSense, Xbox, and Switch Pro widths differ by ~1cm
- 💡Double-sided ironing is essential: a single-ironed stand will warp under the controller's weight
- 💡Use two pegboards clipped together so the base stays perfectly flat
- 💡Add felt pads to the base — a hard bead surface scratches desks
- 💡For PS5 DualSense, leave the center notch wider; its handles flare out more than Xbox
