Evolving from Haunter when traded, Gengar is known for its mischievous nature — it hides in shadows, mimics human voices to lure victims, and claims to be from another dimension. First appearing in Pokémon Red & Green (1996), Gengar's design — a dark purple blob with pointed ears, glowing red eyes, and a sinister grin — has made it a fan favorite.
