Raichu is the evolved form of Pikachu, triggered by using a Thunder Stone. Unlike Pikachu's widespread popularity, many trainers in the games and anime choose not to evolve their Pikachu — most notably Ash Ketchum. Raichu stores over 100,000 volts of electricity in its body; its tail glows in the dark and it can deliver paralyzing shocks. Alolan Raichu (a Regional Variant from Generation VII) is Electric/Psychic-type and floats on its tail like a surfboard, adding a fun alternative color scheme.
FAQ
Should I craft Pikachu or Raichu?▼
Pikachu is more iconic and smaller (easier for beginners). Raichu is for crafters who want a slightly bigger, less common piece — its orange-brown lightning-bolt tail is a distinctive shape that stands out on a shelf.
