Espeon is the Psychic-type evolution of Eevee, introduced alongside Umbreon in Generation II (Gold & Silver, 1999). It evolves when Eevee reaches high friendship during the daytime — a deliberate counterpart to Umbreon's nighttime evolution. Espeon's lavender fur, split tail, and red gem on the forehead give it an elegant feline appearance. Its fur is said to contain cells that sense air currents, letting it predict the weather and its opponent's next move.
