Charmander is a Fire-type Pokémon and one of the three starter Pokémon introduced in the original Pokémon Red & Green (1996). Classified as #004 in the Kanto Pokédex, Charmander evolves into Charmeleon (level 16) and then Charizard (level 36) — one of the most powerful and popular Pokémon in the franchise. According to the Pokédex, the flame on Charmander's tail reflects its health and emotions; if the flame goes out, Charmander's life ends. This poignant lore detail has made Charmander one of the most beloved starter Pokémon.
Design Notes: 12×14 Pixel Composition
This 12×14 grid (168 beads) captures Charmander's key features: orange body dominates, cream-tan belly accent, and the iconic tail flame rendered in yellow and red. The tail flame should flicker upward with at least two pointed tips. The large eyes and small arms give Charmander its signature cute expression. At 6 colors, this medium-difficulty pattern is a step up from the Poké Ball — recommended for crafters who have completed a few easy patterns.
