Bulbasaur is a dual Grass/Poison-type Pokémon and Pokédex #001 — the very first entry in the Kanto Pokédex. One of the three original starters from Pokémon Red & Green (1996), Bulbasaur is unique for the bulb planted on its back at birth, which grows into a large flower as it evolves through Ivysaur (level 16) and Venusaur (level 32). In the anime, Ash's Bulbasaur was the wise, stoic leader of the group — often refusing to evolve despite being ready. Bulbasaur has a special place in fans' hearts as the original #001.
Design Notes: 14×12 Pixel Composition
This 14×12 grid (168 beads) renders Bulbasaur in a wider format to accommodate the bulb on its back. Teal-turquoise skin, dark green bulb, bright green accent spots, red eyes, and black details make up the 6-color palette. The bulb is the most distinctive element — it should sit high on the back with a visible seam where it meets the body. The red eyes give Bulbasaur a more determined expression than other cute starters.
