Background: The Poké Ball

The Poké Ball is the iconic catching device in the Pokémon universe, used to capture and store wild Pokémon. Its design — a red top half, white bottom half, and black band with a central button — is one of the most recognizable symbols in gaming. Within the lore, Poké Balls were originally crafted from Apricorns by Kurt in Azalea Town before mass production. The basic red-and-white Poké Ball has a catch rate of ×1 for most Pokémon, with upgraded versions like Great Ball (×1.5), Ultra Ball (×2), and Master Ball (×255) introduced progressively.

Design Notes: 10×10 Pixel Composition

This 10×10 grid (100 beads) is one of the simplest character patterns available. Red fills the top half, white fills the bottom half, black creates the dividing band, and a small gray dot forms the central button. The perfect circular shape is achieved through stair-stepped pixel curves. At only 4 colors and easy difficulty, this is the ideal very-first fuse bead project — recognizable, fast, and satisfying.

Частые вопросы

Is the Poké Ball the easiest Pokémon pattern?
Yes — with only 4 colors, a 10×10 grid, and a simple circle shape, the Poké Ball is widely considered the best first fuse bead project for Pokémon fans of any age.
Can I make different Poké Ball types?
Absolutely — by changing the color scheme, you can create Great Ball (blue + red + white), Ultra Ball (black + yellow + white), or Master Ball (purple + pink + white) variants using the same 10×10 grid.
