Background: The TNT Block
TNT (Trinitrotoluene) is a craftable explosive block in Minecraft, introduced in the Alpha version (2010). Made from 5 gunpowder and 4 sand blocks, TNT can be ignited with flint and steel, redstone, or a fire charge. When activated, it flashes white and explodes after about 4 seconds, destroying blocks and damaging entities in a radius. TNT is essential for mining large areas quickly, trapping enemies, and creating spectacular shows in multiplayer.
